Taking care of business in Yuma

I’m running low on staple grocery items, so Monday morning I hitch up and head for Yuma.  Yuma has a resident population of close to 100,000.  It has a nice selection of stores, restaurants, etc. When the winter snowbirds arrive, there are about 300,000 people in the area. Avenue of the Giants

My time was up at Humboldt County Fairgrounds, but I wanted to stay in this area a little longer to visit the redwood parks and the Avenue of the Giants.  After doing a little online research, I decided to move a few miles to the Bear River Casino in Fortuna. Exploring Ferndale

August 8-9, 2017

Tuesday is a stay at home day for me.  I was a little tired from the activity of the last few days and the long drive yesterday.  And it is rainy here today.  I’m still working on getting organized and figuring out the best storage arrangement for stuff, etc.  So that’s pretty much what I did today.  My campsite is very quiet.  I’m on the end of the row and looking out my back window is pasture land.
