Devils Tower National Monument

I plan to stay two nights at Devils Tower National Monument. My next stop is Rapid City, SD on Sept 16, and I’m only a few hours drive from there.

I drive up to the visitors center. After looking at the exhibits, I walk the trail that circumnavigates the Tower. It’s only about a mile and half so I take my time to enjoy the area. Continue reading “Devils Tower National Monument”

After filling fresh water tank and emptying gray and black tanks I head north to Yellowstone National Park.  I hope that I can drive the 125 miles to Norris Campground in time to get a site there.  This campground is first come first served, so I have a shot at it. On Labor Day Monday I leave Granite Creek early and drive thru Jackson to Gros Ventre Campground in Grand Teton National Park. It’s a nice sunny morning when I pull out of Craters of the Moon continuing east on Hwy 20 to Idaho Falls. I find a Fred Meyer grocery store where I shop and get gas.
